Current Applications of AF-CBT


Two ongoing research projects evalutaing the the use of AF-CBT are currently in their final stages. These include the results of new studies evaluating the community application of AF-CBT, revised practitioner materials, and the development of efficient professional training programs using an abbreviated learning collaborative methodology.

Dr. Barbara Baumann will be conducting an Alternatives for Professionals training for the Illinois 2nd Circuit Court in Mt. Vernon, IL.

 

MAR 25, 2015

Dr. David Kolko will conduct with Naomi Perry an advanced (booster) training in AF-CBT for clinicians from Washington State at the Harborview Center in Seattle, WA.

 

APR 9, 2015

Dr. Barbara Baumann will conduct an AFP training for Family Works/New Hope in Indianapolis, IN.

 

APR 14, 2015

Dr. David Kolko will present a paper: Treating Emotional and Physical Abuse Using Alternatives for Families: A CBT. In Sympo Title: Continuing to implement evidence-based trauma treatments: Lessons learned over the long term. Chair: Lucy Berliner, MSW. APR 24, 2015

Dr. David Kolko will present an overview of AF-CBT at the 2015 Spring Psych TLC Conference for Mental Health Professionals in Little Rock, AR.

 

APR 29, 2015

Dr. David Kolko will conduct an advanced (booster) training in AF-CBT for clinicians from the state of Nebraska at project Harmony in Omaha, NE.

 

MAY 18-20, 2015

The Annual AF-CBT Spring Training will be offered May 18-20 in Pittsburgh, PA.
