Dr. Kolko will discuss issues relating to the sustainability of evidence based practices, including AF-CBT, with colleagues who are participating in a 3-hour pre-meeting institute, "Dispelling the Myth of Sisyphus: Sustaining EBTs in Practice Settings," at the upcoming National Child Traumatic Stress Network’s All-Network Conference.

JUNE 22-25, 2016

Lucy Berliner and David Kolko will be presenting a workshop at the 24th Annual APSAC Colloquium in New Orleans, LA (June 22-25), entitled “EBP Adaptation vs Drift: Some Guidelines, Examples, and Caveats”. This workshop will describe some common adaptations (e.g., cultural adaptations) that may enhance engagement and the acceptability EBPs, but which appear consistent with their fundamental change components. They will describe some ways that providers can make similar adjustments and offer suggestions to support adaptation without compromising the active ingredients of change.
