Why Donate to AF-CBT?

Too many children and their caregivers experience anger, aggression, physical abuse, and other childhood traumas that place them at-risk for developing significant psychiatric and behavioral difficulties. It is of critical importance that they receive effective services that alleviate these difficulties and reduce the likelihood of future coercive incidents. AF-CBT is one of the few evidence-based interventions being disseminated to programs working in outpatient, residential, school, and in-home settings across the United States that is designed for such families.

To promote its application in new settings and expand the number of practitioners who can offer it, we have continued a tradition of providing trainings and materials that can meet their unique service delivery needs. In many instances, this has involved making an arrangement to conduct a trainings at a reduced rate, to ensure that interested agencies who seek trainings are not turned away. We have offered discounts ranging from 5% to 40% of the price of a standard “learning community” training program; this year alone, we have provided over $20,000 in cost savings to community agencies. We are both proud and happy to provide this assistance to our community partners with limited resources that deliver evidence-based services to families with heightened clinical need.

If you are interested in contributing to our efforts to support families and the community providers who serve them, we welcome your donation of any kind; just click the “Donate Now” button on the right.

-All the best this holiday season and forever,
