Training Conducted in Laredo, TX

Dr. Kolko conducted an AF-CBT training session for Serving Children and Adults in Need, Inc. (SCAN) from March 29-31. SCAN is a community-based non-profit located in Laredo, TX along the Texas-Mexico border. SCAN has a 35-year history of providing prevention, intervention, outpatient and residential treatment services to youth, adults, and families experiencing substance use and co-occurring trauma, child traumatic stress, sexual violence, homelessness, family conflict, and HIV among other difficulties. SCAN has 30 programs that serve a primarily Hispanic population in Webb and 18 surrounding counties in south Texas. SCAN will be using AF-CBT with youth and families being served through their Border Traumatic Stress Response Center which is an NCTSN Category III site.
