The AF-CBT Session Guide Third Edition (11.1.11) provides outlines for the primary content and procedures included in AF-CBT. Included is an introductory section titled, "The Fundamentals of AF-CBT", which includes an overview, assessment and functional analysis, and suggested recommendations for implementation. All three phases of AF-CBT are organized with their corresponding topics. Each topic contains an outline that provides a rationale, objectives, handout suggestions, and possible scripts for introducing AF-CBT components and problem-solving different parent and child responses.
The Session Guide also contains a section of handouts and worksheets which facilitate engagement and skill building with caregivers, children, and families.
The AF-CBT Session Guide is not available for sale. It is one of the primary materials used during AF-CBT training sessions, and is available to those who sign up for a training.
AF-CBT "Topic at a Glance” Forms
The Topic at a Glance Forms (at the beginning of each topic) contain one page descriptions of each of the 17 topics that are outlined more extensively in the Session Guide. This easy to use form can be referenced by practitioners to provide a self- assessment of the completion of specific treatment tasks or used as a prompt consisting of “main point reminders” when working with families.
Spanish Handouts and Worksheets
AF-CBT worksheets and handouts are available in Spanish to facilitate easy treatment implementation. These handouts and worksheets are available at the AF-CBT training sessions and have been used with clients from a variety of Spanish-speaking countries.
